Secret Alps comprises the top two floors of a chalet built in 2008. The design is contemporary and features a spectacular double height window which forms a complete wall of the main reception room and offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Rhone valley. Coupled with a double height chimney for the open log fire, the apartment oozes style and comfort.

Upstairs is a second sitting room where you can relax on an outsize sofa in front of wide screen plasma TV. The sound system is integrated throughout the apartment with speakers in-built in each room. That allows each guest to pursue their own tastes: some watch a DVD, while others tune into an iPod, radio or TV and all get the benefit of rich sound in the privacy of their own room.

With over 200 m² of chic accommodation to offer, the master bedroom is a vast sanctuary with its own balcony and large en suite bathroom complete with walk-in shower. There are 3 other bedrooms, one of which has a south facing balcony and ensuite shower room. Two bedrooms share a bathroom and everyone has easy access to the steam room which seats 6.

Fully equipped for fuss-free catering, the kitchen suits the professional and the keen amateur. The open plan design incorporates the dining area and allows cosy meals in winter. In summer, you may prefer to eat on the large, adjoining balcony.

Nendaz is in the heart of the 4 Valleys, an area which offers more than 400km of world class, groomed ski runs in the winter and over 200 km of mountain bike tracks in the summer. It is less busy than its glitzy neighbour, Verbier, the capital of the 4 Valley resorts, and is keen to preserve its discreet charm. Access to all mountain activities throughout the year is quickand crowd-free and Secret Alps will put you in touch with whatever kind of instructor is required. Nendaz offers a strong array of experienced specialists who can organise the entire gamut from the most intrepid heli-touring to starting toddlers on the nursery slopes. Summer programmes are always on offer, guaranteed to satisfy the most active Alpine enthusiast. Don’t forget that this is also a good base for exploring the other resorts and attractions – thermal spa centres, vineyards and historic castles – which surround Sion.
